Natural Weight Loss – How To Lose Weight The Natural Way
Natural weight loss means lowering your daily calorific intake while increasing the amount of calories you burn through exercise; however, most ignore this recommendation.
This advice should be easy to comprehend – at least you would think it was; with over a third of Americans, and millions in other countries who are gradually catching up, it obviously isn’t that easy!
The conflicting aspect is that a large percentage of overweight people are desperately trying to lose those pounds whether it is because they are tired of the looks they receive or for health reasons.
But the fact is it is a whole lot easier to prevent putting on pounds than to try losing them later on.
Nevertheless weight maintenance is something that has to be worked on and planned otherwise we will put on extra pounds.
Studies have shown that it is more likely a person who has lost weight using a calorie controlled diet, even if they actually enjoyed it, are more likely to go back to their old eating habits at some point.
You can maintain your weight through natural weight loss methods and even if being at the center of unwanted attention doesn’t convince you, surely your health should.
The truth is there is a huge price to pay with your health when you are overweight and in particular, clinically obese. If you think about it, losing excess weight by natural methods is the most acceptable way to get rid of those extra pounds but too many people want a ‘quick fix’ system.
Natural weight loss is about the food you eat so stick to those which are low in fat, contain carbohydrates, high in fiber and a moderate amount of protein. A meal such as this would be something like a baked potato (complex carbohydrate), the fiber is vegetables and protein is a lean cut of meat.
The problem is calories from dietary fat can be high and have a tendency to be retained by the body which is something that doesn’t happen when excess calories are consumed with other foods. Don’t fall into the fat-free trap where manufacturers keep coming out with low-fat or fat-free versions of their best-selling foods despite the fact that Americans are getting fatter anyway.
The misconception is if you are eating something fat-free then you won’t be adding extra fat to your body but all food contains calories, just not always in the form of fat. This is a trap that many people fall into and forget it’s about eating from the correct food groups, and if you have to snack make it a small healthy one.
It is believed in some circles that a natural method of weight loss is to eat less but more often without actually missing meals, which can get you into bad habits.
This is a subject that will continue to be debated for some time but natural weight loss is possible and should not be looked upon as a lost cause. Don’t give up on losing weight – if you are serious and committed to it – you can do it!
